There is a distinction between face-to-face and online learning programs. Please see principles for each training method below.

Online learning programs

Users purchasing an online course or learning program will have a seven day cooling off period from the purchase date. This allows ample time for the user to change their mind and/or realise the learning program is not applicable or suitable to their development or learning. This will be a no-questions-asked policy and refund will be granted for any reason provided the below criteria are met, however, will not include the costs associated with transactions/processing fees.

After the seven day cooling off period, a refund will only be granted if there are issues with the course or learning program. This can include incorrect program description and display or content issues. Under no other circumstance will a refund be granted (subject to any requirements detailed in the Australian Consumer Law).

If the user is eligible for a refund, outside or inside of the seven day cooling off period, they must also meet the following criteria:

  • They have not accessed the content (there will be a summary ‘enter learning program now’ page and user access agreement – after they have accepted this and entered the course, no refund will be granted)
  • They have not completed (or attempted to complete) any assessments; and
  • They have not received a certificate of completion of that course or program

Blended learning programs

For any blended learning programs, the online learning program refund policy applies.

Face-to-face learning programs and live webinar events

If a user books a face-to-face seminar, they can request a refund up to 48 hours before the seminar start-time. The refund will not include processing and transaction costs. If a user attempts to cancel within the 48-hour window, they will only receive a 50% refund and must meet the following criteria:

  • Selected wrong course
  • Sickness
  • Emergency
  • Other circumstances beyond their reasonable control that prevent them from attending

If the user needs to reschedule training, they must do so not less than 48 hours before the seminar. Important to note: the user is limited to two occasions for re-scheduling.

Once the user is in attendance at the seminar, they cannot opt out to receive a refund.

Program cancellation by Peter Mac

If the training is cancelled or postponed by Peter Mac due to unforeseen circumstances, users will be given a re-schedule or cancel option. Under this circumstance, if the user chooses the cancel option, they will be given a full refund (including transaction costs).

Code of Conduct

If a user does not adhere to or breaches our Code of Conduct, they will be banned from the course or learning program and no refund will be granted.

Refund turn around time

All refunds will be processed within 30 days of approval by Learning Hub @ Peter Mac.
