Therefore, as a user, you agree that:
A user must be at least 16 years of age to register for an account.
If you are an education institution (e.g. a university, TAFE or secondary school) and wish to create accounts for your students, please contact us at LearningHubSupport@petermac.org and we will evaluate your request.
On your profile, we encourage you to use the name that you prefer to be known by in your daily life.
However, if you have privacy or safety concerns, you are welcome to use a different profile name.
Profile names must not impersonate another person (living or dead), other users, or brands, and must be in line with the rest of this Code of Conduct and our Terms & Conditions.
Please take all reasonable steps to register for one account only and avoid account duplication.
This includes, but is not limited to: language, names or content that is sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexually explicit, abusive, contains swearing or is otherwise likely to cause offence.
Under no circumstances should you share private or confidential information such as patient or research subject names or details.
Remember that you are in an inclusive learning environment shared with people who may be of different ages, nationalities, religions, cultures and backgrounds, with different knowledge, ability and experience to you.
Communicating online through text can lead to misunderstandings, so it is important to give other people the benefit of the doubt, and be kind in your interactions: sometimes it’s difficult to know or fully appreciate the situation of the person you’re talking to.
For further information on content sharing, please view our Terms & Conditions.
We consider a personal attack to be any negative comment directed to or about an individual that is about them personally, or uses personal information against them.
This applies to comments directed at Educators and course contributors as well as learners (for example, comments about the physical appearance of a contributor in a video).
Opinions and views can vary from person to person and we encourage and respect healthy discussion. Peter Mac staff and facilitators reserve the right to close down any arguments that may be offensive or disrespectful to other participants.
It’s fine to share the answers when the course Educator requests you to do so, or when course guidance indicates that this is acceptable.
If personal stories or anecdotes are shared during a session or as part of an online forum, please respect the privacy and confidentiality of these comments.
We require content to be professionally relevant, on topic and involve actions that allow you and others to be productive and successful in your learning.
Do not share content containing sexually explicit material or language. Some adult content may be allowed if the intent is clearly educational, medical, scientific, or artistic, and it’s not inappropriately graphic.
Do not interact with others or share content in a way that’s irrelevant, inappropriate, disrespectful, or otherwise inflammatory.
You can report comments to behaviour by emailing us at LearningHubSupport@petermac.org. We will look into each case individually and take appropriate action as necessary.
The health, safety and wellbeing of our patients, staff, volunteers, contractors, visitors and customers is our highest priority. We have a no-tolerance policy to physical, verbal or sexual violence, assault or harassment.
COVID-19 has created a rapid and ever-changing environment. It is crucial to the health and safety of all stakeholders that you do not attend a face-to-face seminar if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.
If you are on-site, you agree to adhere to COVID-19 related health policies outlined by Peter Mac.
Thank you for adhering to our Code of Conduct and being a respectful member of the Learning Hub @ Peter Mac Community.
